Movement Monday
A sandbag/jump rope AMRAP/EMOM with the Mrs.
While I certainly prefer longer form, lower rep higher weight exercise, we're a busy young family.
We don't have the luxury to consistently accommodate my preferred 1-2 hrs long sessions, not even considering she has a workout goal to boot too, and dont get me started on the kids' side of logistics.
So we do what we can. This way, we both get to do a workout, utilize each other as accountability, have the kids witness and internalize exercise as a normal family activity, and alternate playing ref with the kids as needed.
Is it perfect? Probably not. Am I goal training, i.e., strong man, bodybuilding, marathon, etc?
No
But this way, I'm doing something, and my family directly benefits as well, and that is worth more than working out perfectly/ my preferred way for as long as it takes
