While I have been encouraged by the strong support and encouragement expressed by many members of the community, I also recognize and respect the continued concerns voiced by others.

It has always been my mission to serve families with dignity, compassion, and cultural sensitivity, and I believe that moving forward at this time would not align with that mission.

I am grateful to those who supported this initiative and equally respectful of those who opposed it. Both perspectives have underscored the importance of community harmony, which remains central to my personal and professional values.

I remain committed to serving Baldwin, Jeanerette, those on the east end of St. Mary Parish and surrounding communities who have requested our services through our existing facilities, and will continue to explore future opportunities for responsible growth that balance both the need and community consensus.
