Ballston Lake Emergency Squad Emergency Medical Services serving the towns of Ballston, Charlton and Clifton Park Beyond emergency response, BLEMS is an active presence in the community.

At Ballston Lake Emergency Medical Services (BLEMS), our mission is to provide compassionate, professional, and timely emergency medical care while engaging with the community we proudly serve. For decades, BLEMS has grown from a small group of volunteers into a respected EMS agency built on teamwork, dedication, and service. From community trainings and school outreach to local events like Truck-or-Treat and safety fairs, we focus on education and building lasting connections with our neighbors. At BLEMS, we don’t just answer calls—we invest in the health, safety, and future of our community every day.

❄️ Winter Storm Safety Reminder ❄️

A major snowstorm is expected this weekend. Please take a few minutes to prepare and stay safe.

🧊 Before the storm
• Charge phones & prep emergency supplies
• Check on elderly neighbors
• Park off streets if possible

🚗 During the storm
• Avoid unnecessary travel
• Slow down—roads may be slick
• Dress in warm layers & limit time outside
• Never use generators or heaters indoors

🏠 After the storm
• Shovel carefully—take breaks
• Clear snow from walkways, vents & hydrants
• Watch for downed power lines

🚑 In an emergency, call 911. Response times may be longer during severe weather, but crews will respond as safely and quickly as possible.

Stay safe. Stay warm. Look out for one another. 💙
