A quick thought/message to my team:

The facility should be proud of their continued effort and success no matter the barriers that we’ve had to uncontrollably face.

The facility has shown nothing but substantial improvement and performance the last few years.

Saratoga Center despite the improvements and wonderful compassion and care given to our residents by our committed staff seems there has always been a plan for the facility in hindsight.

What’s posted from media and ex toxic employees remains untrue. The proof is on CMS.gov website. We are not what they’ve said we are.

Don’t let the haters continue to smear or discourage you or our residents home.

Keep your head held high and rest assured in knowing we have given nothing but our best to our residents and to eachother.

And I appreciate you for that.
So thank you for everything.

Always a special place in my heart because of the hell we were forced to bear together deep in those trenches which built stronger. We never backed down; always fought harder and became we better for it and better people because of it too.

I’ll always keep the happy memories of Saratoga Center close 2my♥️ forever.

Thank you team, for just being you.

I’m really going to miss you all-every single resident, all those supportive rooting for us families, & of course my dedicated team.

Subject: Notification received 12/18/2020 that our first resident who is currently asymptomatic (showing no signs or symptoms) tested positive for COVID-19.

We are committed to providing updates regarding the COVID-19 Virus. Saratoga Center remains steadfast in our focus to prevent the spread of this disease and to protect our residents. In the event an employee or resident should test positive we like to inform and share what is being done on our end to eliminate the spread of COVID-19 to residents and other fellow employees.
Saratoga Center continues to implement all of the best known practices to date, to assist us in the prevention of spreading the COVID-19 Virus. We follow the most current State and Federal guidelines.

All #’s are cumulative since April 1, 2020
Residents & Staff Testing Positive

# of COVID-Positive Residents:4

# of COVID-Positive Staff:8

# of Recovered Residents: Currently asymptomatic, & on isolation. 4
* All residents who have a positive lab result are asymptomatic. Our first resident who had a positive lab result remained asymptomatic the entire time and is now testing negative.

Facility-Wide Testing

All staff continue to be tested weekly/ongoing.
Residents continue to be tested. (Initial resident testing conducted onsite in collaboration with the NYSDOH, stated in the most recent COVID-19 Notification).

Rapid Testing is being done on all staff prior to start of shift and these positive COVID lab results are not in relation to the initial positive COVID lab result. These are two separate units entirely.

We have had to allow more people into the facility with regards to our recent announcement of an approved closure plan, which heightens exposure/risk to all.
All Infection Control P/P remain in effect.

The facility had an onsite NYSDOH infection control survey.

The facility remains in compliance & obtained a deficiency FREE visit. GREAT JOB!!

Still to date Saratoga Center remains COVID-19 Free since day one!!

All resident’s test results are in and all staff and residents are negative!!

Under immediate supervision, supports providers (physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants) in provision of patient care; includes recording vital signs, discussing chief health concerns, performance testing, and administering injections; assists with procedures and documentation.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

Assists with providing patient care: records vital signs, discusses and records chief health concerns, performs tests, administers injections.

Places phone calls to pharmacies to order prescriptions; set up referral contacts.

Prepares patient charts, answers phone, performs other office duties as required.

Maintains neatness of work area, stocks patient rooms with supplies.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum qualifications:

NYS LPN license.

Required Skills, Attributes and Abilities:

Knowledge of medical terminology.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to maintain schedules and establish day-to-day priorities while utilizing critical thinking skills in all aspects of the job.
Must be able to multitask while remaining professional, focused, composed and positive.
Excellent customer service skills and must display integrity, friendliness and compassion.
Must be able to establish an appropriate and effective rapport with patients, co-workers and medical staff.
Must be able to demonstrate effective and appropriate written and oral communication skills.
