🩷 During Cancer Prevention Month, learn about a simple step that can help reduce cancer risk.

🧬Human papillomavirus (HPV) is a common virus that can cause several kinds of cancer.

💉 The HPV vaccination helps protect against six types of cancer and is recommended early in life to protect children long before they’re ever exposed to the virus. When given between ages 9-12, the HPV vaccine can prevent more than 90% of HPV-related cancers, including most cervical cancers.

📆 SCDOH offers FREE HPV vaccine through its confidential Sexual Health Clinic. Appointments are required and can be made by calling 518-584-7460 ext. 8597.

📲 The Saratoga County Office of Emergency Management encourages residents to download PulsePoint, a life-saving mobile app that connects you to emergency situations in real-time. When someone nearby is experiencing a cardiac arrest, the app alerts CPR-trained citizens to jump into action and provide immediate help.
