Employee Spotlight: Lisa Gilbert, RNCM 🌟💙

We are proud to recognize Lisa Gilbert, RNCM, for her exceptional dedication and compassionate care.

Recently, Lisa served as the RN case manager for a patient whose pain proved very difficult to manage. Demonstrating extraordinary commitment, she remained at the patient’s bedside for seven continuous hours, determined not to leave until the patient was comfortable. The patient ultimately passed away with Lisa present, and her compassion left a lasting impression on the family—exemplifying the true spirit of hospice nursing.

In another instance, a family specifically requested Lisa’s presence during their loved one’s final moments. Although she was not on call, Lisa selflessly provided her personal phone number and made herself available, ensuring she could support the family through the patient’s passing. Her presence brought comfort and peace during a profoundly emotional time. 🤍

Lisa truly embodies what it means to be a hospice nurse—compassionate, dedicated, and deeply committed to the mission of hospice care.

When commended for her remarkable service, Lisa humbly responds:

“This is my calling and where I am supposed to be.” 🙏

Today we’re honored to introduce one of the steady hearts of our Breeze Hospice team, Sarah, RN Case Manager of our Ste Genevieve Branch. Known by many as our “calmer of storms,” she brings a peaceful presence into every home and every patient interaction.

From her very first day, Sarah has shared her love for Jesus through quiet prayer, gentle encouragement, and a genuine desire to bring comfort to those she serves. Her faith shows up in the way she listens, the way she advocates, and the way she walks alongside families during some of life’s most tender moments.

It takes a special kind of heart to work in hospice care. We’re proud of our team members like Sarah who bring compassion, patience, and kindness into every home and facility they serve. Please help us celebrate the incredible work she does each day.

Every day, we have the privilege of appreciating the sacrifice of the Veterans within our partner facilities and those we are honored to serve. But it’s not every day that we have the opportunity to publicly recognize their bravery, resilience, dedication, and the profound commitment they have given to our country.

Today, our Marketer, Alexis Brenzil, M.A. , and Chaplain, Daniel Ross, had the honor of hosting a recognition ceremony for the Veterans at Crystal Oaks in Festus. Each Veteran received a pin, a certificate, and—most importantly—the chance to be celebrated and uplifted among their peers.

We are forever grateful for their service and sacrifice 🇺🇸
