STEPS supplies ABA Therapy and other behavioral therapy to pediatrics. We are located near the Baltimore area and expanding throughout Maryland.

STEPS ABA Services is focused on assisting families and individuals with developmental disabilities achieve their goals. We use the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis to guide and facilitate educational and behavioral interventions. Our philosophy is that each family has individual needs and as a result, we work to tailor support and advocacy towards each unique individual and family.

We had such a great time at the Birthday Buddies event in Colorado! 🎉

It was wonderful meeting so many new families and celebrating together in a space that felt calm, welcoming, and truly inclusive. Seeing the kids connect with their “birthday buddies,” play games, and just enjoy the day without all the usual party overwhelm was really special.

Thank you to for putting together such a thoughtful and fun event, we’re so glad we could be part of it! 💛

Representation matters, and this is a big STEP forward.

has introduced the first-ever Autistic Barbie, developed with guidance from the Autistic Self Advocacy Network (ASAN) to authentically reflect how some autistic individuals experience and interact with the world through thoughtful design choices and accessories.

This Barbie includes meaningful details like:
🧩 Articulated wrists and elbows to mirror common self-soothing movements
👀 A slightly averted eye gaze
👕 Sensory-sensitive clothing
🎧 Accessories like noise-cancelling headphones, a fidget spinner, and a tablet displaying AAC apps (Augmentative & Alternative Communication)

At STEPS Behavioral Health, we’re inspired by this step forward in representation. Inclusive design, whether in toys, therapy, or everyday environments, helps normalize diverse communication styles and sensory needs, promoting a more inclusive and accepting environment. We had a wonderful time at the STEPS holiday party, bonding with friends and celebrating together. The evening featured great food, fantastic entertainment The Rudos, and a special look back at the year with STEPS, highlighted by an awesome new STEPS song. We even left with some awesome gifts- it was truly a memorable night!
