Did you know that today is World Hunger Day?? Food insecurity is a huge problem we are currently facing as it impacts more than 44 million people in the United States. Adolescents, especially those impacted by puberty and emotional eating, face significant challenges. This is shown in a study by Patrice Joseph as he discusses the importance of community and policy solutions. A possible solution to this problem is increasing access to affordable and healthy foods in spaces tailored for teens, such as community centers. Providing fresh produce in food pantries and communities can also help greatly with addressing food insecurity! ⁠
