⭐️ Let’s give it up for our August Caring Amigo, Lorenzo! 👏🏼

Saturated with all types of cultures growing up, he went to Honduras to teach English while learning Spanish.

One of his great goals is to become a neurosurgeon, and wants to be involved in research for Alzheimer’s 🧠. His experience as an RBT and practicing ABA is helping him reach those goals.

And just like many of us, Lorenzo loves Amigo Care for the inclusivity and care we provide to our Latino community.

🎉 Happy 3-Year Amigo-versary, A.J. Flynn! 🎉

Today, we’re also celebrating AJ and the incredible impact he’s made over the past THREE YEARS with Amigo Care! 💙 From day one, AJ has brought dedication, warmth, and a true passion for helping others 🙌 AJ is so knowledgeable and always willing to help other RBTs when they need it!🫂

Those who work with AJ say that we’re so lucky to have someone as passionate, thoughtful, and committed as him on our team. From supporting families to building up his clinical skills, AJ has truly grown with Amigo, and we couldn’t be prouder of him for completing his master’s in ABA! We can’t wait to see him officially take that next step as a BCBA.

✨ A special highlight from ABAI 2025 in Washington, D.C.! ✨

During one of our poster presentations, our amazing team members Soraya and Daniela were honored by a visit from none other than Dr. William Heward, a true pioneer in the field of behavior analysis.

Dr. Heward kindly gifted us a Spanish-translated copy of his book, “Vamos a firmar un contrato,” which focuses on positive strategies for behavior change in children. He even added a personal dedication:

“For Amigo Care, hope this book will support you in your important work helping families and children.”

This moment was especially meaningful for our team, as we proudly work with Latino families across Maryland, providing culturally responsive and compassionate support grounded in evidence-based practices.

Thank you, Dr. Heward, for this inspiring gesture — and for recognizing the value of inclusive care in our communities. 💙💛
