🌸🤰✨ The Amazing Uterus! ✨🤰🌸

Did you know your uterus starts off about the size of a pear 🍐 before pregnancy… and by full term it’s the size of a watermelon 🍉?! 😱💪

That’s an organ that can stretch up to 500x its original size to grow and protect a baby 👶💖

As it expands, it doesn’t just grow upward, it literally rearranges your insides 🫀🫁🩻
• It pushes your stomach 🍲 and intestines 🍝 up and to the side
• It presses on your bladder 💦 (hello, extra bathroom trips 🚽😂)
• It even nudges your lungs 🫁 making it harder to take those deep breaths

Your body is basically remodeling your insides to make room for new life 🏠➡️👶✨

How incredible is that?! 🌍💜

🌟 A true reminder that pregnancy is POWERFUL, messy, miraculous, and nothing short of badass 💪🔥👑

👶Did you know this used to be common practice?

For decades, babies were often lifted by their ankles and held upside down immediately after birth.

Sometimes, they were even given a few “spanks” on the bottom 🍑 to stimulate crying.

⚠️ Why did they do this?
• Doctors once believed a newborn needed to cry right away to clear the lungs 🌬️
• Hanging the baby upside down was thought to “drain fluids” from the airways
• Spanking was thought to “jump-start” breathing

💡 What we know now:
• Babies are born already transitioning their lungs to air, no spanking or dangling required 💕
• The safest, most effective place for a newborn to adapt is skin-to-skin on the parent’s chest 🫶
• Crying isn’t the only sign of health…quiet, alert breathing is perfectly normal 🌸

✅ Modern care emphasizes:
🤱 Immediate skin-to-skin
💧 Delayed cord clamping
💤 Allowing the baby to transition gently and naturally

🚫 No hanging, no spanking.

Just trust in physiology and connection 💗

✨ Times change, but photos like this remind us how far birth practices have come and how important it is to keep questioning the “norm.”

Mama did it yall!! She pushed through even when she didn’t think that she would make it, she did it!

Papa bear did his thing helping mama get through each surge of contractions but they did it! She did it!!!

“END THE TOXIC FAMILY CYCLE

If you come from a family of drunkards, let that cycle end with you. Let drunkeness never pass through you to the next generation.

If you come from a family of drop outs, no one gets to finish school or go to University; end that cycle and reach the highest level in study, prove that even your family tree can produce an intellectual.

If your relative's marriages never last, your parent's marriage was a disappointment; end that cycle, when you get married have a marriage built to last.

If you are a man and your father used to beat up your mother; end that cycle, be the opposite of your dad and love your wife like a real man should.

If you come from a tribal family where decisions are made through tribal lenses; end the cycle, show your family that love knows no tribe.

If the family you come from has been living in poverty; end that cycle, make money, lift your family to wealth.

If members of your family are largely known for mediocrity or shameful acts; end that cycle, be excellent and successful, bring pride to your family name.

If people from your family are known to be mean,cold and tempered; end that cycle, work on being friendly, warm and approachable.

If your family has been involved in witchcraft, su***de, curses and ungodliness; end that cycle, introduce God in your family tree, declare that as for me and my house we will serve the Lord!

You don't have to carry forward the shortcomings in your family down the lineage to the next generation. Love your family but learn from their mistakes. You don't have a say in determining the family you are born in to, but you can determine who you become and the kind of future and family you will have. Your decisions affect generations to come”

This is what a contraction looks like.

Not the Hollywood scream.

Not the sterile hospital gown hiding the power.

Not the monitors and machines riding the wave.

This is the body, rising with power.

A uterus surging.

A partner holding steady.

A room holding space.

This is labor.

This is the work.

This is what it means to bring a baby earthside with nothing but the body’s own rhythm and force.

Let them call it pain.

We know it’s extraordinary power that lives within us.

Please don't be timing contractions that are more then 10 minutes apart. GO TO SLEEP!!! Missing that first night of sleep when you think labor is starting is so detrimental to getting the job done.

This family!!! Love them so much! It was truly an honor to witness the strength and labor of this mama and baby!!
Every day you pushed through and allowed your body and baby to do what was necessary. You never pushed it but listened to your body and understood what you could handle in those moments. I’m an truly happy and proud of how far you have came along. God has truly blessed you all throughout this whole process and I the love of the lord truly shines through you all.

Baby boy came on Father’s Day and he is doing well!

I think it’s time for some policy changes. Everyone understands the business side of things but do people understand that everyone runs their business differently and how they want?!?’

Super happy and excited for this family. Mama definitely pulled through and did all that she could and listened to her body. Papa has been supportive and helpful and I just love that for this family. Congratulations to you both. It was a pleasure helping you all during this time. Truly looking forward to continuing support for your postpartum “healing” journey.
