From diagnosis to reconstruction—this patient’s nasal basal cell carcinoma required a multi-stage journey to restore both form and function. After undergoing Mohs surgery to fully clear the cancerous tissue and ensure negative margins, the resulting defect was reconstructed with a paramedian forehead flap—one of the most reliable techniques for complex nasal repairs. Once healing was established, the flap was carefully taken down to complete the process.

A true example of how skin cancer treatment and facial reconstruction work hand in hand to achieve the best possible outcome!

Two great cases done here at ACW today!

Dr. Papel had a facelift, fat augmentation to the face, and CO2 laser around the mouth. Two residents from Hopkins were able to join us this morning!

A true full circle moment: Dr. Quan went from being Dr. Papel’s resident to now leading and teaching residents of her own! Dr. Quan performed chin liposuction as well as inserted a large chin implant for a more defined jawline.
