I have started to write a book about "The Sandwich Generation" It refers to adults who are simultaneously caring for their aging parents and supporting their own children. When I was only 30, as an immigrant (I immigrated with my family of 7 – my grandparents, my disabled uncle, mom, step farther and older brother, from Ukraine in 1992, I became the Jello and the peanut butter in the sandwich, because I had to take care of my grandparents, uncle, parents and a young daughter. As the only medical (I became a nurse) professional with fluent English, I took care of everyone’s health issues. This dual, or even triple responsibility often leads to a unique set of emotional and logistical challenges that can feel overwhelming. Balancing the needs of multiple generations requires resilience, adaptability, and a solid support system. This guide aims to offer hope and provide practical strategies to help you find balance and fulfillment in your journey.

Let's connect the dots between spirituality and science. Have you heard that being in nature is good for you? I have, many times, but where is the prove? How does it work? Well, let me tell you something.....
Studies have shown that spending time in nature, particularly around trees, can have significant health benefits, including enhancing the body's ability to fight cancer. Research indicates that forests release phytoncides, which are airborne chemicals with antibacterial and antifungal properties. When inhaled, these chemicals can increase the activity of natural killer (NK) cells, a type of white blood cell that plays a critical role in eliminating tumor cells and virus-infected cells. For instance, a study found that increased NK cell activity from a 3-day forest bathing trip could last more than 30 days, highlighting the long-term immune benefits of forest exposure (Department of Environmental Conservation) (Medical Daily).

I've been seeing a lot of 555 lately. Even this morning (and for those who know me, they know I am not a morning person), I woke up at 5:55 am. Then, I received an email about 555 and how it symbolizes expansion and change.

555 is like the universe's way of saying, "Buckle up, it's time for some exciting changes!" It's a herald of transformation, inviting you to embrace growth and step into new opportunities. So, whether you're waking up at an ungodly hour or seeing triple fives everywhere, just remember: it's the cosmos nudging you towards your soul's expansion. Embrace the journey, and let's see where this adventure takes us!
How do you interpret seeing 555?

On my recent cruise, I had a little adventure that cemented my faith in the goodness of people. One night, I left my beloved (and rather expensive) LV sunglasses by the pool. Realizing my mistake the next morning, I rushed to the lost and found, hoping against hope they'd be there. To my pleasant surprise, my sunglasses were waiting for me!

Later that evening, during an after-dinner stroll, I recounted the story to a fellow passenger (new friends we made on the cruise) - Alex Polonsky. To my amazement, he revealed that he was the kind stranger who had found my glasses and taken the time to return them to reception without a second thought.

This experience reminded me that kindness not only exists in the world but is in full force and that we should always believe in the good in people.
Here's to strangers who go out of their way and to unexpected moments of human decency! 🌟🕶️❤️
