It’s really sad that someone who has a huge heart. Someone who was out there doing outreach work for animal rights and was willing to help others is repaid for their kindness with violence. My baby girl, Paige DeBusk, was a carjacking victim and was beaten by three people. I just really feel like change is needed. The fact that these young people were okay with doing what they did to my daughter is a sign that something is very, very wrong in our society. Without blame or judgement, I ask that healing comes to my daughter but also to our community and the world. We all deserve a safe place to live and work and care for our loved ones. I also hope they find my daughter’s car and belongings, while being ever so grateful that she does not seem to have any permanent damage and seems to have a positive outlook.
