Thank you for all who have reached out to me regarding the New Life Show. We are pleased to announce we are airing each Sunday at a new time 1130am. We have guests that will bring you perspectives on mental health, opioid issues, homelessness, returning citizens, youth interaction, conflict resolution and much more. We will have politicians, clergy, community activists, mental health providers, business owners and many more people to share visions and perspectives. Please tune in if you are able. JaVon Townsend, LCSW-C, is a licensed clinical social worker by training and an artist and play enthusiast by divine design.

With a background in cultural studies and as an alumna of both the Fulbright and Albert Schweitzer Fellowships, JaVon has demonstrated ingenuity and resourcefulness in developing and executing creative approaches to problem-solving with diverse groups of people in the US and abroad.

She approaches all of her work from the lens of understanding and appreciating who people are within their specific contexts. She is passionate about helping people live healthier lives by strengthening the mind-body connection, increasing self-knowledge and self-compassion, and cultivating community care.

JaVon founded Jubilee Counseling and Wellness, LLC (jubileecw.com) to bridge her love for the healing powers of play, the creative arts, and fostering community.
