Due to firework shows, July 4th is often one of the days of the year with the worst air quality. If you have asthma or other lung diseases, make sure you have your inhalers and other respiratory medications on hand, in preparation for any lung disease exacerbations and pharmacy closures around the holiday.

Today is International Plastic Bag Free Day! Baltimore County implemented the Bring Your Own Bag Act to help reduce plastic pollution, litter, and waste. This act encourages shoppers to bring their own reusable bags, as retail establishments now charge a minimum of $0.05 for each paper or reusable bag distributed.
