Julia Thompson joined Powell Recovery Center in October 2017 as a clinician delivering group and individual treatment for substance use disorders and mental health. Since 2017 Julie moved through Powell and has since been in the Treatment Coordination Team. Julie feels it is her duty to fight on behalf of the clients at Powell to get them the treatment they need and deserve.

The Treatment Coordination Team treats every client as an individual and works with each person to develop a treatment plan specific to their goals and needs. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗼 "𝗰𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗲 𝗰𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿" 𝗼𝗿 "𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘀𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝗹" 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹. Treatment Coordination works with Clients to get to know them and to understand what their unique needs are. We then match those needs to resources to aid in the Client's success.

Julie is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with the State of Maryland and is a 2017 Master's Graduate from Loyola University Maryland. While at Loyola there was an emphasis on serving underserved populations and that type of calling aligns with Powell's mission to provide Treatment on Demand, meaning that at Powell we strive to remove all barriers to treatment so that when you are ready, we are here to help.

Julie prides herself on being the advocate for Clients to fight for them to get all of the resources they need to recover from addiction while also helping them build a strong foundation upon which the rest of their life can be built. Recovery is a life long process and at Powell, we are here to walk this journey with you.
