BALTIMORE —
Participants in the Family Recovery Program graduated on Friday and reunited with their children.

The program helps parents who list their children because of challenges like substance use disorder. The ceremony celebrates the progress seven parents made to regain custody of their children and create healthy and stable homes.

Since 2005, the program has served more than 1,800 Baltimore families — with a 92% success rate.

October is a busy and meaningful month for us here at The Family Recovery Program!
With Halloween just around the corner and Substance Use and Misuse Prevention Month underway, we also take time to recognize Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

It’s important to remember that many life challenges , including health struggles and experiences with violence, can contribute to substance use. Let’s continue to look out for signs of struggle in our friends, families, and community members. Just as important, let’s check in and offer support to those who are healing and rebuilding after the effects of breast cancer or domestic violence.

Together, we can raise awareness, show compassion, and strengthen recovery for all. 💜🎗️
