As a collective, BambooMoves hosts regular 200 & 500 hour Yoga Alliance certified Teacher Trainings and retreats. Abiding by yogic ethical principles (Yamas & Niyamas), we conduct our business, our teachings, and our classes based on the principles espoused in Patanjali's Yoga Sutras. Jess is back…virtually, that is, for her Monthly Reset Practice on Friday, October 24th!

Monthly Reset is a nourishing practice designed to release stress and tension stored in your nervous system, allowing you to become ‘unstuck’ as if you’ve ‘hit the reset button.’ We’ll weave together yogic philosophy, somatic tools, pranayama (breathwork), and gentle asana (postures) to help you feel more grounded and reconnected to your Self. Each class will allot time for svadhyaya (self-reflection – have a journal handy), dhyana (meditation), and neuro-somatic practices like body scans, bilateral tapping, affirmations, and sensory awareness. Have you ever seen a beautiful strand of beads worn as a necklace or wrapped around your fellow yogi’s wrist? This sacred tool is called a Mala. A mala is a traditional strand of prayer beads and a meditation tool that is used to still the mind. Based on the stone or material that they are created with, they represent different qualities that can also be personalized by chanting a mantra.

In this afternoon workshop of creation and community, will show you how to create your own 108-bead mala necklace with a guru bead and tassel. We’ll begin with a short intention-setting meditation, followed by hands-on guidance in stringing and knotting beads. Sip un-infused mocktails by and then, we’ll end with a japa mala meditation practice to charge your mala. Sign up in our bio!
