One way we are doing that is with Howard House. This 16-bed treatment facility provides people struggling with substance use disorder a quiet and peaceful place to slow down and get the help they need.

Meet our amazing team member, Al Arrington. 👏 For 35 years, he has been dedicated to helping others. He started at Weisman/ Kaplin House and now serves as the Site Manager for Howard House.

A little-known fact about Al: he was actually born at what is now our Main Campus! Back in 1950, it was Lutheran Hospital. 🏥

Opioid Awareness Day is a time to remember the dangers of opioid misuse, break down the stigma surrounding substance use disorder, and stand in solidarity with those impacted.

RCM&D’s 30th Annual Regatta raised $150,000! 👏

We were honored to be one of the beneficiaries this year, along with Camp No Limits, CARITAS, Interfaith Works, and Ulman Foundation.

Thank you, RCM&D, for hosting such an incredible event. In their 30 years of running the regatta, they have raised more than $1.6 million and supported 82 nonprofits across the Mid-Atlantic region. ⛵️

RCM&D’s 30th Annual Regatta was a tremendous success! Our team had an incredible time watching sailing on the Chesapeake Bay, capped off by the presentation of a generous check that will help our clients afford their necessary medication.

We also want to honor the memory of Hill Michaels. Though he is no longer with us, his legacy lives on through RCM&D, a company where he served as an executive for decades. Hill was a strong supporter of our mission at Tuerk House and served with dedication as a board member and donor for many years.
