A huge congratulations to the Whippany Fire Department and Hanover Township FMBA Local #109 on their purchase of the Defibtech Lifeline ARM.

The Lifeline ARM is an automated chest compression device. When placed on the patient, this device allows firefighters to provide continuous high quality chest compressions.

High quality chest compressions are the foundation of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). When chest compressions are performed manually, fatigue can set in quickly and the effectiveness of chest compressions will deteriorate. Furthermore, the quality of manual chest compressions can decrease significantly during air or ground transport to the hospital.

With the Lifeline ARM, Hanover Twp. Fire crews can deliver high quality chest compressions with minimal interruption. The Lifeline ARM also provides an extra set of hands while performing CPR, as a member of their team is no longer needed to perform chest compressions.

This new piece of life-saving equipment will save assist in saving countless lives in Hanover Township and surrounding areas!
