Did you know that Chase Brexton pharmacies offer prescription delivery services? It's a free and secure way for eligible Chase Brexton patients to get their prescriptions via UPS and/or messenger service to any address in Maryland. You might even be able to save money by getting a 90-day supply of chronic medications!

Eligible patients can also enroll in our automatic prescription refill program, which refills their medications on or before their due date, or our medication synchronization program, which fills those medications on the same day each month. Packages are sent via UPS and/or messenger service in full compliance with HIPAA and other state privacy laws.

This Summer Sun Safety Month, learn about the signs and symptoms of heat stroke.

SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS:

Body temperature above 103° F
Rapid pulse
Reduced sweating
Disorientation, Unconsciousness, or Seizures
Warm, red, dry skin

WHAT TO DO:

CALL 911
SHADE: Get the person into air conditioning if possible or out of the sun and into the shade
COOL: Spray the person with cool water, or apply cold wet cloths or ice packs to the armpits, neck, and groin. Fan air across the person to increase cooling.
SEIZURES: If the person experiences seizures, keep them safe from injury.
VOMITING: If the person vomits, turn the person on their side to keep the airway open. Do not give the person anything to drink if the person is not alert or is vomiting.

Our community partner, Baltimore Center Stage, invites you to enjoy a discounted night at the theater to their upcoming production of Canton Waterfront!

Canton Waterfront, which runs Aug. 16 and 17, will educate and enlighten theatergoers about the area that is, today, a hip neighborhood along Baltimore's harbor.

Sailing between the coasts of two generations and two parallel time periods, Karen Li’s Canton Waterfront is a new play that follows two members of the Shek family and two of their descendants. The older generation is among the first immigrants to arrive in Baltimore from China while their descendants are visiting for business. And though a few hundred years apart and under different circumstances, the land, blood, and waters that connect them are all the same. Though fighting a different fight than their ancestors who came to America to change their lives, the younger generation comes to these same shores and are reminded of who they have been as they discover who they can be. Developed in Lab410, Baltimore Center Stage’s local playwright’s residency, Canton Waterfront tells a tale about the city we call home.

In keeping with this year’s NHCW theme, Celebrating 60 Years of Progress, we reflect on the past and the grassroots origin of community health centers; we sit in the present acknowledging the work being done; and, we look to the future as we chart our path forward.

Today, Chase Brexton not only serves patients at any one of our five centers but, by way of community partnerships, we are able to identify and provide requested services to partners including area colleges, libraries, and local government.

Internal teams at Chase Brexton partner together at outreach events throughout the year, bring healthcare and information where it's needed.
