Last night, the UHI team showed up at Helping Up Mission to support the Men’s Kitchen Center. From fall service efforts to this MLK Day gathering and more to come this spring, this is part of how we continue to honor Dr. King’s legacy through action.

Dr. Lisa Cooper was honored with the Vanguard Award at the Black Faculty & Staff Association (BFSA) East Baltimore Caucus’s first Annual Community Awards Ceremony, alongside other remarkable Black leaders across the institution, such as Michael Preston, Director of Community Affairs & Engagement, and Dean Keshia Pollack Porter of the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. 🌟

UHI and the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Equity (CHE) were proud to be in the room, celebrating our director and the community of scholars and changemakers who continue to move this work forward. 💙
