We are hiring for a PRN caretaker position at our assisted living facility. Must have up to date TB test, CPR, First AID, background check, Assisted living and Med Tech certs. Our assisted living houses 6 residents. Hours vary. Duties include helping with ADLs, cooking for and cleaning up after residents, light house keeping, medication administration and record keeping.

Fact of the day: The reason there are more women than men in assisted living is simply because women tend to outlive men. In general, men live about seven years less than their female counterparts. However, the average lifespan for men in the United States is starting to increase; according to the Social Security Administration, a man reaching age 65 today can expect to live until age 84.3, on average, while a 65 year old woman can expect to live until age 86.6. Therefore, it stands to reason that more and more men will also be entering assisted living communities in the coming years.

Fact of the day: Did you know that more than two-fifths (42%) of people age 65 and over reported a functional limitation. 18% percent had difficulty with 1-2 activities of Daily Living. 5% percent had difficulty with 3-4 ADLs, and 3% had difficulty with 5-6 ADLs.
