The One Promise Staff have more than 110 years of experience in providing services to clients with substance use disorders, including alcohol. The program offers comprehensive instruction through various modalities developed to encourage personal growth. Physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual aspects of the individual are affected by addiction, and the whole person must change. All clients will receive and individualized assessment and treatment plan upon admission to the program. Additional referrals for mental health services, social services, substance abuse treatment will be made at that time, if clinically indicated. One Promise accepts all State Medicaid programs. Fees can also be paid through cash, check, or money order. Services we offer:

OUTPATIENT PROGRAM:
The One Promise Outpatient Program is certified by the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene to provide abstinence based alcohol and drug treatment services. Our licensed counselors provide caring, professional, and confidential services in a comfortable group atmosphere. The typical length of treatment is 16 to 26 weeks in duration and includes the following services:
-A comprehensive substance use evaluation and identification of individualized treatment goals
-Mental health screening, counseling, and referrals when clinically indicated
-Family services including assessment, education, and referral to additional social supports
-Urinalysis services using alcohol testing to help reinforce the individual’s program of abstinence and recovery
-Introduction to 12-Step support services such as Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous
-Courtroom advocacy, support, and documentation for individuals with pending legal cases
-Documentation of enrollment and treatment progress to referents, including Parole and Probation
DUI/DWI EDUCATION
The One Promise DWI-Education program is designed for individuals who may be at risk for developing a substance use disorder, or anyone with an interest in learning about the issue. One Promise offers a 12 hour, state approved curriculum including the topics listed below:
-Review the scope of the current drinking and/or impaired driving problem on the national, state, and local levels, including associated legal penalties
-Introduction to relevant alcohol and drug treatment terminology and definitions, including the medical model of addiction
-Identification of the biological, psychological, social and familial impact of alcohol and drug use disorders
-Familiarization with the recovery process, available treatment modalities, and community based supports
