Staten Island's school year will start with a new mental health program using bhworks software:
“...this is a transformative step in how we care for our students,” said Mark Erlenwein, New York Staten Island Tech principal in the summer issue of CSA News. “By combining the insights that we gather from the [Social Emotional Competency Assessment] survey with the power of bhworks’ referral system, we can quickly identify students in distress—including those at risk of self-harm and connect them with the right supports. The technology means our Instructional Support Services Team can match students with providers based on insurance, location, and specialty, while keeping families, schools, and clinicians fully connected throughout the process. It’s moving from reactive to proactive and ensures that no call for help goes unanswered.”
