The Baltimore Feldenkrais Center offers classes and private sessions in the Feldenkrais Method and its various adaptations to specific populations. Aliza has been a Feldenkrais Pracitioner for 28 years and is now a certified, internationally known, FeldenkraisTrainer. A concert pianist in the past, Aliza has founded Embodied Music, which is her own adaptation of Feldenkrais for musicians. Here is a description of the populations that will benefit from private sessions and classes:

1. People who want to improve their movement & posture and get rid of the garden variety of aches and pains. Scores of students around the Baltimore area have benefited from these classes over the span of almost 3 decades.

2. Aliza studied for many years with Anat Baniel, the founder of the Anat Baniel method for Children, and assisted her when she directed Feldenkrais Method Trainings. To learn more about this work, please visit www.BaltimoreFeldenkraisCenter.com

3. The middle aged and the elderly who want to reclaim their youthful mobility and keep it into old age. Lack of balance and immobility are the most debilitating issues for seniors. If they learn to move better while still healthy, science says they will be more mobile later on.

4. People with scoliosis learn to keep their spine flexible and moving in all needed directions and in the process also learn to ease the occasional or chronic pain.

5. BALANCE - evoking and rediscovering the innate mechanisms by which balance is attained, especially in the elderly and people with neurological impairments.

6. PELVIC FLOOR ISSUES - toning the muscles involved in pelvic floor functions and integrating them into the overall movement patterns of the body. This program was created by Aliza's colleague - Deborah Bowes, PT & Feldenkrais Trainer.

7. EMBODIED MUSIC - solving playing related injuries and improving sound and ease of playing. To learn more, go to www.FeldenkraisForMusicians.com

Aliza offers private FUNCTIONAL INTEGRATION sessions to the children and to those who need more customized care and/or are not sufficiently mobile to join the classes.
