Happy ! Meet our Billing/ Credentialing Manager, Norma Jean Thornton! 💙🤍

1. How long have you been with Metro and what is your position?

“Going on 12 years now. I am the billing and credentialing manager.”

2. What do you enjoy most about your job?

“Seeing our patient’s get back to doing the things they love prior to their amputations or injuries.
We have developed special bonds with our patients.”

3. What inspired you to get into this field?

“I actually got into the field of O & P by helping a fellow coworker whose husband had an O & P company and their office manager quit on them and they needed some help. It’s been 24+ years now in this field.”

4. What’s a fun fact about you that most people don’t know?

“Not really an unknown, but I am a huge animal lover. I’m gonna hug your dog! (p.s....tell my husband to let me get a goat! lol)”

💡 Inspired and amazed by how one person turned a challenge into innovation. After being a double amputee, Ross Holland discovered that wearing his prosthetic feet backwards helped him walk more comfortably and with less effort — and now researchers at the Rehabilitation Institute at Sinai Hospital are investigating if it can help others too.

First Steps! First Prosthesis! First Victory!

Today, Jodi took her first steps with her brand-new Össur TT Direct Socket — her very first prosthesis. Completed in less than 2hrs!!!

From the moment that socket was donned, you could feel her determination fill the room. Every step was a mix of courage, balance, and belief — and she crushed it!

These moments remind us what this journey is all about — restoring movement, independence, and confidence one step at a time.

Way to go, Jodi — your strength inspires us all! 🙌

1. “I have worked at Metro prosthetics for 10 years as a certified orthotist.”

2. “What I enjoy most about my job is being able to improve the quality of life for my patients by providing orthotic devices that assist them in completing their activities of daily living.”

3. “I was inspired to pursue a career in orthotics and prosthetics because I enjoy the combination of science as well as working with my hands to improve the lives of people in need.”
