In recognition of International Women’s Day, we take a stroll down history lane of women’s rights in the US. Understanding history helps us understand our present, our future, and what is or may be at risk. 💜

Supervision isn’t just about clinical hours—it’s about becoming the kind of therapist your community deserves

I offer liberation-focused, anti oppressive supervision for LGPCs in Maryland. My space is for therapists who are unlearning, reimagining, and ready to show up whole.

Whether you’re processing the impacts of systemic harm, unpacking inherited norms from grad school, or navigating the emotional weight of this work😮‍💨—I see you.💜

Together, we’ll focus on:
Clinical growth rooted in your values
Collective care & healing-centered accountability
Ethics & boundaries without white-normed rigidity
Preparation for LCPC with room to be human

📍Virtual & in-person options
🗓️ Accepting new supervisees now

Knowing yourself gives you a foundation for advocating for yourself. Listening to yourself means listening to the discomfort, the anger, the joy, the anxiety, the stomach turns, the sweaty palms, the increase in heart rate, the clenched jaw and raised shoulders, and even the curiosity.

This message is especially important this month because, Black history is not just struggle—it’s strength, love, laughter, and limitless joy. This month, let’s celebrate the brilliance, resilience, and beauty of Black life. Allow yourself to truly fall into your humanness and live! Honor the triumphs, the culture, and the everyday moments of happiness that make history too.

Reclaiming our identity is an act of healing. Colonialism disrupted our connection to self, others, and the world around us—but through intentional healing, we restore what was taken and reshape how we relate to everything.

The more accepting we are of difference amongst us, the easier life becomes. Teach your children to be compassionately curious, don’t shush or shame their curiosity. It emboldens them to be comfortable in their authenticity!

As a therapist, things that affect our mental health matter to me, positive and negative. That bucket is DEEP though. What I am most passionate about, in that bucket, is addressing social issues. Oppression being at the top. As we honor Dr. King today remember, fight for what’s right, what’s equitable, and take care of yourself so that you may fight. “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.”
