UM SOM Global Health Interest Group University of Maryland School of Medicine - Global Health Interest Group

The purpose of the Global Health Interest Group is to create a forum for medical students to participate in projects, discussions, and advocacy regarding the advancement of Global Health and to connect with mentors working internationally. Our mission is to increase awareness of Global Health issues through education and service. The group's vision is to promote a multidisciplinary approach to Glo

bal Health, which incorporates the knowledge and expertise of each of the professional schools on campus. We will work collaboratively both within the UMB network (facilitated by the Global Health Resource Center) and throughout the Baltimore community as a whole, to contribute to the advancement of Global Health, as well as to broaden the scope of our own global perspectives.
