Meet the Team—introducing Christian Moriarty!

Since graduating from Thomas Jefferson University in 2022, Christian has worked on projects globally in Malawi, Pakistan, and Kabul—with clients ranging from The World Bank to state government. As an Intern 1 Architect, they bring a strong focus on sustainable, user-centered design practices as they continue to work toward their license.

In their free time, Christian enjoys fencing, biking, writing, and drawing.

Our team member Hannah Haught recently attended the 2025 ULI Orlando Young Leaders Exchange—an unforgettable three-day experience exploring Central Florida’s evolving urban landscape.

From adaptive reuse tours and immersive art walks to thoughtful conversations around innovation, community, and placemaking, the event brought bold ideas and inspiring perspectives to the forefront.

We love to celebrate opportunities like this one, where team members can learn, grow, and expand their network in architectural spaces!

This past Saturday, our team proudly participated in the Trash Dash FUNdraiser at Middle Branch Park. We joined fellow community members in cleaning up the Patapsco River and supporting Neighborhood Design Center ongoing efforts to improve public spaces across Baltimore. We were proud to sponsor this impactful event and contribute to a cleaner, greener city.

Meet the Team—introducing new hire Zach Thomas!

Zach joins AHSa as a Project Architect with 10 years of industry experience. He is a proud Maryland native and graduated from AACC and Morgan State. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, camping, and growing Bonsai trees, which reflect the same creativity and discipline he brings to his work.

Embracing his favorite quote, “All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us” by J.R.R. Tolkien, Zach is always striving to make the most of every opportunity. We’re excited to have you as part of our team!

Meet the Team—introducing Project Manager, Greg Dehne!

Greg brings over 30 years of experience in architecture, with a deep passion for designing senior living communities. A graduate of The Catholic University of America, he began his career at Cochran Stephenson and Donkervoet (CSD) in Baltimore, where he worked alongside our very own Hal Sachs. Early in his career, he gained experience in K-12 schools, medical imaging suites, and mixed-use developments before focusing on senior living. He spent 15 years developing retirement communities nationwide and even opened a satellite office in Miami to expand CSD’s presence in the market.

In 2014, Greg and his family returned to Baltimore, where he helped grow the senior living portfolio at Hord Coplan Macht. He now joins AHSa, further strengthening our expertise in this sector.

Outside of work, Greg enjoys traveling, spending time with family, and cheering on his kids at numerous baseball games and orchestra concerts. We’re thrilled to have him on the team!

Since AHSa’s inception, David, one of our founding partners, has played a key role in shaping our company into what it is today through his leadership and vision. Now, as he embarks on his next chapter, he shares this message with our clients, colleagues, and friends.

“After 25 years in architecture, including 17 incredible years with Ammon Heisler Sachs Architects, I have made the bittersweet decision to step away from architecture and embark on the next chapter of my life. I am deeply grateful for the opportunities afforded to me by my father John Ammon, as well as my outstanding partners, Joe and Hal, and our exceptional staff. I carry with me many cherished memories of rewarding relationships and successful projects.
Thank you all for being a part of this journey. AHSa is in excellent hands and I wish them many more years of success.”
