Nominations for the 2025-20256 GSA Executive Board are now officially open!

Serving on the GSA E-Board provides an incredible opportunity to develop important ”soft skills“ like leadership, communication and teamwork. As an E-Board member, you will also have the chance to work alongside JHU administration on advisory boards and committees to improve graduate education for your peers.

We encourage you to nominate yourself or a fellow SOM student that you believe will be a valuable addition to the leadership team.

Nominees must be full-time students enrolled in a Johns Hopkins School of Medicine graduate program.

Nominations will close May 9th at 11:59PM.

We are partnering with the There Goes My Hero (TGMH), a nonprofit dedicated to saving lives, providing hope, and helping those impacted by blood cancer.

Their goal is to raise awareness about the critical need for diversity in the bone marrow donor registry and register new potential donors. Currently, patients of color have a very hard time finding donors. A key factor in matching is ethnicity, but unfortunately, many patients of color struggle to find matches because the registry lacks diversity. For example, Black patients with blood cancer have only about a 25% chance of finding a match, compared to white patients with blood cancer who have about a 75% chance of finding a match.

Breakfast/Lunch will be provided to students who stop by. Please register on Hopkins Groups!
