It takes a great to deal of courage to bring a sacred and tender dream into this world. To birth it. It takes even more to disassemble the dream. To tenderly watch it move back into the realm imagination. I have had to do both. The releasing is far harder. My heart goes out to Lola Manekin and Radha Huddleston and the entire staff at The Movement Lab. I experienced such beautiful healing inside the doors of this sacred community. Movement Lab is the place I come to vibe up and exercise my body and mind simultaneously. I love the variety of class types and I take yoga, as well as Nia, and attend workshops. Everyone should try a sound bath! It's a feel good place that consistently feeds me positive energy!
I have found my home in Baltimore here at Movement Lab - when I started coming here in November, I was so warmly welcomed and immediately fell in love with the Antigravity classes. Since then I have taken a wide range of the classes here, and I have loved so many of the options here and continue to discover new classes (and they continue to add more and more!). I highly recommend coming and trying a class!
I love this place! The classes are great and the energy here among students and teachers is wonderful.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS and join Jody Moscaritolo & Abby Stone for an action-packed day of SWING DANCE, on June 19th at The Lab!

This three-part West Coast Swing Dance workshop will take place over the coarse of the day on June 19th, where you have the option to sign up for either one, two, or all three sections!

2:30-3:45 pm - "INTRO TO WEST COAST SWING"
Learn basic swing rhythms through fun and easy rhythm drills, then build those rhythms into steps and patterns. This fun, interactive workshop will introduce you to the addictive partner dance of West Coast Swing.

4:15-5:30 pm - "(UN)CONNECTED CONVERSATIONS"
In this workshop you will work to break free of structured patterns and movements, instead focusing on the freedom of pure creative communication. In this workshop you will learn body pre-leading techniques in order to connect with a partner visually (no physical connection will be used in this class) and work together to communicate through movement.

6:00-7:15 pm - "GETTING BACK INTO THE SWING OF THINGS"
This workshop is curated for intermediate/advanced Westie dancers. We’ll be reviewing advanced swing techniques, diving into a bit of alignment anatomy along the way to fine-tune our connection gears.
