The fall semester is right around the corner, and we're seeking out undergraduate and graduate university students for an opportunity to provide s*x education in Baltimore City schools!

Potential students should be passionate about public health and s*x education, as this role helps our mission here at Planned Parenthood of Maryland of enabling Marylanders in making informed decisions about their health and their bodies.

PPM interns:
☑️ Teach comprehensive, inclusive, and age-appropriate s*x education to high school students around Baltimore City;
☑️ Participate in outreach projects both in schools and in the community;
☑️ Gain college credits and/or community service learning hours;
☑️ Receive a one-time stipend for their time;
☑️ And more!

In Maryland it’s a privilege to be represented federally by so many health care champions, including Congresswoman Sarah Elfreth who visited our Annapolis health center this past Friday. Rep. Elfreth met our clinicians and spoke with PPM’s team, focusing on addressing threats to Maryland patients and their access to care.

Without leaders both at home and in DC championing their constituents back home, PPM couldn’t do what we do: caring for our patients, no matter what.

The Trump administration and their allies in Congress are trying to “defund” Planned Parenthood health centers.

This attack could force 1 in 3 Planned Parenthood health centers – most in states where abortion is still legal – to close.

They are playing politics and trying to punish Planned Parenthood health centers for providing legal abortion care.

They want to control our bodies by closing Planned Parenthood's doors. Not on our watch.

The U.S. Senate passed Trump's megabill back to the House with amendments that further threaten Medicaid access and that promise to defund Planned Parenthood health centers, including the crucial s*xual and reproductive care that we provide.

Planned Parenthood of Maryland remains here for our patients and our communities. Our health centers still accept Medicaid insurance and are still committed to providing essential care.

The revised package now heads back to the House, where Republican leaders are hoping to approve it and send it to Trump before a self-imposed July 4 deadline. But it faces hurdles.
