Emma served as the secretary on the HAPPCOM e-board! After graduating from UMBC, Emma plans to attend graduate school and the NIH post-baccalaureate program.

Her advice to current HAPP students is to prioritize your mental and physical health as much as possible and try to form relationships with professors and TAs in your department/major- even if you have them for one semester!

Leah served as the HAPPCOM president last school year and currently served as the Vice President this semester. After graduating from UMBC, Leah is obtaining her MPH concentrating in international disaster and conflict management and working on public health research in Mumbai.

Her advice to current HAPP students is to never be afraid of change and taking new opportunities. You will surprise yourself of how much you’re truly capable of!

Her advice to current HAPP students is to develop a relationship with a professor and don’t hesitate to step outside your comfort zone, it can help you grow beyond your imagination!
