To the mothers carrying so much with strength, grace, and love — we see you. 🤎

Motherhood often means showing up for everyone else while still trying to care for yourself too. This Mother’s Day, we want every mother to remember that your mental health matters just as much as the care you pour into others.

At Restoring Destiny Mental Health Services, we remain committed to supporting women through healing, growth, resilience, and culturally responsive mental health care.

Whether you are raising children, healing from generational trauma, rebuilding after loss, balancing work and caregiving, or simply trying to make it through the day — you deserve support too.

Happy Mother’s Day from Restoring Destiny Mental Health Services. ✨

Advancing Wellness. Strengthening Resilience. Restoring Lives.

Single mothers carry a lot. 💜
The caregiving. The bills. The schedules. The emotional labor. The pressure to keep showing up.

But your wellness matters too.

Rest is not laziness.
Boundaries are not selfish.
Therapy is not weakness.
Taking care of yourself helps you keep showing up for the people you love. 🌿

Which one of these are you choosing this week? 👇🏾

Four years into my 40s, I’ve learned that healing also looks like self-preservation.

Protecting your peace.
Setting boundaries.
Making space for joy.
Choosing reciprocal relationships.
Learning that rest is necessary — not something you have to earn.

As women, especially Black women, we are often taught to pour endlessly into others. But emotional wellness also requires pouring back into ourselves.

Your needs matter too. 🤎

At Restoring Destiny Mental Health Services, we see it every day: women carrying the weight of everyone else while putting themselves last.

“I’ll focus on me later” may sound responsible — but over time, it can become burnout, anxiety, emotional exhaustion, and overwhelm.

You deserve care too. 🤎
Not just survival. Not just pushing through. Real support. Real healing.

Full circle moment tonight. 🤎

Honored to return as a 2023 Board Pipeline alum panelist through Associated Black Charities.

Since completing the program, I’ve served in 3 board appointments — including Baltimore City’s Trauma-Informed Care Task Force through a mayoral appointment.

As a Baltimore native and mom raising my family in Edmondson Village, representation in leadership spaces matters deeply to me.

Grateful to pour back into the next generation of leaders and appreciative of the leadership of Chrissy Thornton. ✨

Last night was a full circle moment. 🤎

Honored to return to the Associated Black Charities Board Pipeline Program as a 2023 alum panelist, sharing insights on leadership, board service, and community impact.

Since completing the program, our founder, Jessica Fauntleroy, has served in 3 board appointments — including Baltimore City’s Trauma-Informed Care Task Force through a mayoral appointment.

At Restoring Destiny Mental Health Services and J’elle Legacy Group, we believe representation in leadership spaces matters — especially for those rooted in the communities they serve.

Special appreciation to Chrissy Thornton for her leadership and continued investment in developing strong Black leadership across Baltimore.
