A new year begins, and our gratitude continues.
Because of you, 2025 was filled with milestones, moments of joy, and compassionate care for our patients and families. Thank you for supporting MWPH—Happy New Year! ✨

The Coat Shop at MWPH was a beautiful success—330+ coats collected to support families across our community. Moments like this remind us of the quiet power of generosity and the meaningful change that happens when compassion leads the way.
Heartfelt thanks to our community partners New Shiloh Baptist Church, Avenue Kitchen & Bar, and Salon Method Hair for serving as collection hubs; to the MWPH Community Health Advisory Board for their continued commitment; to our volunteers; and to the greater Baltimore community for showing up with such warmth and care. ❤️

Read the full story from The Baltimore Banner about our team of lovable facility dogs and their dedicated handlers.

“Having a dog around just makes the whole day better,” Dr. Julia Rosenstock, a Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital attending pediatrician, told The Banner. “There are so many things that a kid won’t do for us that they’ll do for a dog.”

Special thanks to Canine Companions, who help make this amazing program happen! 🐾

Therapy dogs at Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital brings hope and comfort to children. The dogs graduated from the Canine Companions service program.

Thank you to The Baltimore Banner for putting the spotlight on some of our hardest-working (and cutest!) employees. Our three facility dogs -- Babs, Gaston and Bata -- brighten our patients' hospital experiences and help them heal and grow. Watch as Rylan, a Johns Hopkins Children's Center alum, plays tic-tac-toe with Bata!

At MWPH, helping our patients get healthy, strong, and back home where they belong is our greatest joy. 💙 We’re so happy that so many children were able to head home before the holidays to spend this special season with their families.

Last week we celebrated our 12th Annual Holiday Toy Shop! 🎁 Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, more than 15,000 toys were donated—helping hundreds of families bring joy to their children this holiday season. Special thanks to our media partner WBAL-TV 11 Baltimore, whose on-air personalities joined us as personal shoppers and truly made the evening extra special. We’re so grateful to our donors, VIP guests, volunteers, and amazing staff!
