👁️Femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery (FLACS) is the evolution of safety and surgical precision.

Unlike the traditional technique, which uses a scalpel, this laser can create incisions and fragment the eye’s lens with milimetric precision, which optimizes the intraocular lens’ placement.

This video shows how this fast and safe technology works.

Precision Eye Care’s Dr. María S. Romero, MD, combines her surgical expertise with the most advanced technology to deliver exceptional results and safe recovery.

As presbyopia appears after turning 40, many patients seek alternatives to reading glasses.

At Precision Eye Care, Dr. Romero shows how using Vizz, FDA-approved eyedrops, temporarily reduces the pupil size, allowing you to see small letters with increased clarity for several hours.

👉 They are useful for activities such as reading a menu, using a smartphone, or enjoying dinner without needing eyeglasses.
👉 Not all patients are eligible, making a personalized assessment key.
👉 For long-term solutions, there are options such as the Refractive Lens Replacement (RLE) procedure.

📅 Schedule a consultation and find out if ophthalmological eyedrops Vizz are an option for you.

Truth is that going into water while wearing contact lenses isn’t a good idea. 🌊

Your lenses may end up holding bacteria, fungi, or parasites present in pools, rivers, or the sea. This significantly increases the risk of serious corneal infections, which in some infrequent cases can compromise your vision.

Precision Eye Care recommends avoiding any swimming activity while wearing contact lenses. You should seek safer alternatives, such as prescription swimming goggles or permanent visual correction solutions such as EVO ICL.✨

Astigmatism happens when the cornea or the eye’s lens isn’t perfectly round.
Instead of light focusing on one specific spot, there are several focus lines, which generate a blurry or distorted vision at any distance.

👉 Why does this matter when talking about cataract surgery?
During this type of surgery, the eye’s opaque lens is replaced with an intraocular lens (IOL).
If their astigmatism isn’t corrected during this instance, they will probably still need to wear eyeglasses or contact lenses afterward.
When treated correctly, many patients can reach near 20/20 vision without eyeglasses.

📍 If you have been diagnosed with cataract or astigmatism, schedule a consultation to know which treatment alternatives are available so you can have clear and sharp vision.
