Color, creativity, and connection filled the room at our second annual "Art Moves!" event last week. 🎨

Patients and loved ones came together for a joyful afternoon designed for people living with movement disorders such as Parkinson's disease. Using paint-covered marbles, participants created vibrant works of art by guiding a box with their own movement, turning motion into a masterpiece.

The event offered more than art supplies and instruction, it provided encouragement, camaraderie, and a reminder that creativity can be both therapeutic and empowering. With a full house and so many smiles, this year’s event was another beautiful success.

Our runners covered nearly 200 miles over four days, visiting all 10 MedStar Health hospitals and multiple patient care locations.

What an impressive feat by world-renowned ultra-marathoner Michael Wardian, and MedStar Health Physical Therapist Chris Heydrick, and Physician Assistant Chris Wilde.

We couldn’t be more thankful for everyone involved in making this event a success and highlighting the importance of movement and wellness in our community.
