Overview
Warriors Heart provides private treatment to adult men and women (18 and older) who are seeking inpatient for chemical dependencies and co-occurring psychological disorders relating to PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder) and/or psychological effects of MTBI (mild traumatic brain injury). These are the men and women who are currently active and veteran members from organizations whose protect and serve the citizens of the United States (e.g, Army, Navy, Marine, Air Force, Law Enforcement, Fire, Paramedics, First Responders, Hospital Personnel, Civilian Warriors and the like). Warriors Heart is a community of elder warriors, healers and support staff united in the battle of addiction and PTSD. Together, we serve and support our warriors who are still suffering and their loved ones.

1 in 3 active duty service members reported binge drinking in the past week.
1 in 20 are misusing prescriptions.
Let that sink in.

These aren’t just numbers, they’re warnings. They’re the silent cries of those still wearing the uniform, carrying unrelenting stress, trauma, and pressure that most will never see. For some, a drink or a pill feels like the only way to cope, to feel normal again.

But addiction doesn’t wait for retirement. It doesn’t discriminate by rank, badge, or uniform. And it often starts while they’re still in the fight.

At Warriors Heart, we see the pain behind the mission. We honor the courage it takes to ask for help, and we stand ready to support our nation’s warriors, whether they’ve just enlisted or already served.

This is about protecting those who protect us.

“This isn’t just a piece of art—it’s a voice for the voiceless.”

Former Clinical Director Annette Hill stands in front of a deeply personal piece at the Grunt Style Warriors HeART Gallery: a photo of her son, Adam, featured in the War at Home Memorial.

Through art, pain finds expression. Through healing, silence finds voice.
And through Warriors Heart, warriors find their way home.

1 in 8 firefighters struggle with problematic substance use.

The ones running into burning buildings, saving lives, and holding the line during our darkest hours, many are quietly fighting battles of their own.

The weight of trauma, long shifts, near-death calls, and sleepless nights can take a toll. And too often, the way to numb the pain becomes the very thing that causes more of it.

At Warriors Heart, we know that behind the gear is a human being carrying invisible wounds. We don’t see addiction as failure, we see it as a call for help, and we’re here to answer.

Through clinical care, peer support, and real healing, we walk with our warriors, as they reclaim control and find peace again.

They protect us every day. It’s time we protect them too.

1 in 10 veterans struggle with substance abuse.
Let that sink in.

That means for every group of ten brave men and women who served our country, one is battling addiction, often in silence. It’s a statistic that should shock us, but more importantly, it should move us to act.

Behind every number is a warrior carrying invisible wounds. Trauma, pain, and stress often go untreated, and substance abuse becomes the way they cope. At Warriors Heart, we don’t see addiction as a weakness, we see it as a signal that someone is hurting and needs help.

We’re here to provide that help. Through connection, clinical care, and community, we walk with our warriors as they reclaim their freedom from addiction.

They stood for us. Now it’s our turn to stand for them.

When disaster strikes, first responders answer the call.
When the silent storms of addiction and trauma take hold, we do.

Watch Warriors Heart's Kelly Harris and Mike Marotta on CNN share how we serve as the Last Responders of the Spirit, stepping in when all else has failed. In the wake of the Texas floods, our mission remains clear: bring warriors home, alive and whole.

Because some storms don’t make headlines, but they still take lives.

The Virginia Quarterly Meeting delivered—deep discussions, solid alignment, and a team grounded in purpose and passion.

We’re dialed in, leveled up, and charging forward with clarity.

Massive shoutout to our Star of the Quarter, Paula—your consistency, heart, and leadership are the kind of strength that anchors this mission.

Virginia’s showing up strong.

We’re just getting started!

2 texts. 2 calls. That’s all it takes.

You don’t need the perfect words, just a moment of real connection.
Reach out. Check in. Let someone know they matter today.

It could be the reminder they didn’t know they needed.
Because no one should feel like they’re in this alone.

Recovery isn’t just about getting sober, it’s about learning to live fully and freely.
At Warriors Heart, we treat the whole person: addiction and what’s underneath it.
You deserve joy. You deserve healing.

You never really know what someone’s carrying, memories, grief, guilt, fear, or battles they’ve never spoken aloud.

That’s why kindness matters. A gentle word. A check-in. A moment of patience. It might feel small to you, but it could mean the world to someone else.

Lead with compassion. You might be the reason someone makes it through today. 🧡

Healing doesn’t always happen in a chair.
At Warriors Heart, we believe recovery can be hands-on, whether it's through woodworking, cooking with chef, K9 training, or creating art.
These electives aren't just hobbies. They're lifelines.
They give our warriors a way to process, refocus, and reconnect, one project at a time.
Because sometimes, working it out means literally working it out. 💪🎨🐾

Just two best buds hangin’ out. 🐴🍎
Lionel and Silver are always on the lookout for good company, and maybe a few apples too.
These sweethearts are part of our Virginia family, reminding us that healing can happen one soft nudge (and snack) at a time.
