Come to the Tuesday, Sept. 9, Meet & Greet Lecture Series starting at 12 p.m. at the Bandon Fisheries Warehouse. Learn about our new Heartfelt Thanks campaign from Southern Coos Health Foundation Executive Director Alix McGinley, who will bring a special guest!

In a superhero movie, you’d get Spider-Man or Batman saving the day. In the real world, we’ve got something much better - our healthcare heroes, swooping in with thermometers, stethoscopes, and scrubs. Somehow, they look more majestic than people with flowing capes.

Here at the Southern Coos Health Foundation, we're inviting you to partake in our “Heartfelt Thanks” campaign. This is your opportunity to share your stories, honor healthcare heroes, and give in their honor.

The Southern Coos Health Foundation's 18th Annual Golf for Health Classic is just around the corner on Saturday, Sept. 20, at the lovely Bandon Crossings Golf Course!

Watch our video to get a taste of the fun, and then join us in supporting healthcare right here in Bandon. We are still looking for event sponsors — many levels include a team of four, so you can tee off with friends or colleagues!

The Southern Coos Health Foundation is now taking applications for the Mary Richards Memorial Scholarship.

The Southern Coos Health Foundation offers the annual Mary Richards Memorial Scholarship to eligible students pursuing higher education in the hopes of entering a healthcare-related field.

NOTE: Applications and references are due no later than 5 p.m. Monday, July 21.

Mary Richards was a long-time member of the Southern Coos Hospital & Health Center Auxiliary. She worked for much of her career at Harbor Lights Middle School. When she passed away, she instructed her family to devote any donations to be given to the SCHHC Auxiliary.

In order to memorialize the impact that Mary Richards had on the auxiliary and on the Bandon community, the Auxiliary designated the funds as the Mary Richards Memorial Scholarship fund.

The Southern Coos Health Foundation administers the funds, which come from proceeds from the Hospital Gift Shop and donations to the Foundation.
