Happy Holidays from the Southern Coos Health Foundation!

As 2025 comes to a close, the warmth of the season reminds us of connection, gratitude, and reflection.

It has been a year of wonderful growth and progress at Southern Coos Hospital! We opened our SCHHC Retail Pharmacy (filling over 7,000 prescriptions!), welcomed new providers, and made progress on plans to expand our facility.

The Southern Coos Health Foundation also had an impactful year, made possible by you!
• We raised over $3,200 for the Bandon School Nurse Program.
• We contributed $25,000 to the Mary Richards Healthcare Scholarships.
• Hosted another successful Women’s Health Day
• Co-hosted our Living & Aging Well program
• Held our first Holiday Boutique
• Our 18th Annual Golf for Health Classic was our biggest ever, raising over $133,000 thanks to our generous community partners!

Tomorrow's the day! Not that you need an excuse to drive through The Human Bean Bandon! Thank you to Lisa and Kevin Murray, as well as all the helpful baristas, for their continued support of Southern Coos Hospital & Health Center and the Southern Coos Health Foundation's free mammogram program.

Come to the Tuesday, Sept. 9, Meet & Greet Lecture Series starting at 12 p.m. at the Bandon Fisheries Warehouse. Learn about our new Heartfelt Thanks campaign from Southern Coos Health Foundation Executive Director Alix McGinley, who will bring a special guest!

In a superhero movie, you’d get Spider-Man or Batman saving the day. In the real world, we’ve got something much better - our healthcare heroes, swooping in with thermometers, stethoscopes, and scrubs. Somehow, they look more majestic than people with flowing capes.
