SOVRIN LESSON #3:
What have we learned so far?
- Psychic ability, intuition, and purpose are developed skills and practices.
- The language to develop these skills doesn’t really exist or exist accurately in our culture.
Now, let’s talk about the worst and best part of our tool kit to explore and gain familiarity with our metaphysical skills and abilities: meditation.
What do we culturally know of meditation? We close our eyes, there’s an intention to be focusing inward and you just kinda sit there. And, honestly, that's basically what we understand as the act of meditation. I remember trying to get into meditation years ago and did the meditations and walked away going… “okay… that’s boring. This isn’t my thing.” So if that’s how you feel about meditation, I get it- cause that’s how I felt!
Meditation is boring… unless you are intending to prove your psychic ability. Then, the stillness, observing the passing thoughts, and exploring the imagination becomes VERY exciting. When you first start exploring with meditation, you feel kind of discombobulated because it’s not a space you are necessarily familiar with, doing an activity that you don’t normally do. But the more you can sit in stillness, gain familiarity with your body, it’s sensations, the conversation, the stages of brain activity, the depth to enter a new world- the more you start to recognize what is NOT yours- this is how you start recognizing messaging and when you can really enjoy meditation, at least for those of us who need a little thrill with our meditation time.
Mediation is asking us to acclimate to a new realm that feels quiet, vast, gentle and strange- we are not culturally attuned to this. But this new space that you find a new home in means you have a way to shut off the world around your body. You have become accustomed to being in the physical world, the world outside of the body- that is, your attention, your awareness, your survival, your ambitions- it’s all over there.
Meditation was the tool I was introduced to and utilized and is the tool that I share in order for people to develop their own psychic abilities. It’s also important to note that meditation isn’t just lotus pose, finger touching, ‘ohmmming’- washing the dishes can be meditation, knitting can be meditation, driving can be meditation. Why is that? The point of meditation is the focus inward, not what you look like to get there. For some people, stillness is easier- for others it is rhythmic movements. What makes focusing easier for you?
It's not a complex process. It's actually quite basic and intuitive. It's just so simple that people will dismiss it or think it's boring. We are attuned to be entertained- heightened chemicals all the time- you keep people craving their entertained brains through all of those boxes and screens, then their capacity for boredom and boring things makes it hard for them to desire or want to do psychic ability. So, in actuality, and I'm all about this, learning to access your psychic abilities is becoming a rebel against the system that we are all swimming in and it does everything it can to keep your attention, keep it away from you, keep it directed away from your inner world.
Be the rebel, do something boring. Change your reality. Get to know the possibilities. Blow your effin' mind.
The next stage for humanity: owning our individual, sovereign authority through tapping into our innate metaphysical abilities of psychic, intuition, and creation skills to finally experience truth, trust, and choice, individually and as a collective.
