We had such a wonderful time today at the Healthy Aging Expo!! This is an amazing event put on every year by the Eastern Area Agency on Aging that we are honored to be apart of.

So many great conversations with members of the community we serve, as well as with our healthcare partners! So proud to be a member of this Greater Bangor community!! Can’t wait until next year!

Happy Nurse’s Week to our amazing nurses! We had a nice breakfast to celebrate them! Some are missing as patient care always comes first! These nurses go above and beyond every day to bring comfort to our patients! You are all amazing 💚

Our healthcare community is full of individuals who make a difference for people nearing end of life. But even among such an extraordinary group, there are some individuals who stand out as exceptional. They provide high quality care, advocate for their residents, and demonstrate great compassion.

At Beacon Hospice, we believe these efforts deserve to be recognized and celebrated! Today we had the honor of recognizing a local facility that embodies an incredible end of life philosophy for their residents with our Heart of Hospice Award!

Jackson “Jack” Williams has been our hospice Chaplain for over 11 years, providing scripture, song and his presence to our patients and families.
Yesterday he attended, and was involved with, a Remembrance Ceremony at a facility that our patient resided at. Our patient was involved in a daily music group there. Resident’s were able to reflect on our patients life followed by the singing of the Marine Corps song, in honor of our patient serving for the US Marines. Songs were then sang involving the 12 attendees at the ceremony. Thank you Jack for allowing his remembrance to live on💚 And this is why we do what we do! Beacon Hospice - Bangor
