If you don’t do it all through pregnancy start, if medically cleared, around 37-38 weeks. ❤️

No one warned me about the rage.

Everyone talks about postpartum depression. The tears. The sadness. The numbness.
But what about the anger? The snap, out of nowhere. The way something tiny—like spilled milk or a partner breathing too loud—makes you feel like you're going to explode?

I remember standing in the kitchen one day, fists clenched, heart pounding, thinking:
“What is wrong with me?”

Let me say this, loud and clear:
You’re not broken.
You don’t hate your family.
You don’t hate your baby.
You’re not a bad mom.

Postpartum rage is real.
It’s not pretty, and it’s not often talked about—but that doesn’t mean you’re alone in it.

There are other moms silently screaming in the shower. Other moms taking deep breaths in the pantry just to hold it together. Other moms carrying the same guilt and confusion and shame.

So if this is you: I see you.
It’s okay to talk about it.
It’s okay to ask for help.
It’s okay to not be okay.

This isn’t forever.
You’re not alone.
And you’re still a dang good mom. ❤️

What makes birth positive?

It’s time to bust some myths! A positive birth does not mean your birth has to be....

🌿 Pain-free
🌿Vaginal
🌿Without pain relief
🌿 Without being induced
🌿 At home
🌿 In a pool
🌿 With music playing
🌿 Surrounded by candles....

These things are wonderful & very conducive to physiological birth, but just because a birth may be physiological does not mean it will automatically be positive. Here’s why...

Birth is about how you FELT throughout. Did you feel coerced or pushed into making a choice you didn’t want to (or have to) make? Did you feel scared during labour? Did you feel your voice wasn’t listened to? Were you given all the information? Did you feel important? Were you asked for informed consent? THESE are the things that make birth positive, a that when you reflect back, tell your story or think about growing your family even more, you feel GOOD about it, in fact, you feel amazing 🤩

You aren’t a vessel, a hunk of meat or a body that is less important than your baby. You are giving birth & your experience REALLY matters! YOU really matter!

I hope you know what a big deal your experience is, however it unfolds! ❤️
