This past Monday, Dr. Rumsey managed to deliver FOUR babies in between seeing a clinic full of patients—breaking the office record for most babies delivered during office hours.

After 39 years of dedicated service in obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Benoit has retired from clinical practice. While it’s difficult to capture the full meaning of his presence, we want to take a moment to honor the incredible impact he has made—not only as a skilled physician, but as a respected colleague and friend.

Throughout his career, Dr. Benoit has cared for generations of women with compassion, integrity, and clinical excellence. From guiding patients through the joy of childbirth to offering strength and comfort during times of uncertainty, Dr. Benoit has approached every interaction with unwavering kindness and a deep commitment to delivering the highest standard of care. For so many patients, he was more than a provider—he was a trusted partner, a reassuring presence, and a listening ear.

It has been a true privilege to work alongside someone so profoundly devoted to their patients and to the field of women’s health. His influence has not only shaped the heart of our practice, but the values we carry forward every day.

While he will be deeply missed, we wish him every joy and fulfillment in his well-earned retirement. As one meaningful chapter comes to a close, an exciting new one begins—may the years ahead bring peace, prosperity, and new adventures to both him and Mrs. Benoit.

After almost 10 years of providing compassionate and dedicated care in women’s health and delivering over 750 babies, Raylene Jernigan, CNM, will be stepping away from obstetric and routine gynecologic care to pursue a new opportunity with 207 Wellness, where she will focus on offering a holistic approach to health and well-being. Her last day in the office will be Friday, July 11th, 2025.

This new opportunity aligns closely with Raylene’s long-standing belief in the importance of living a healthy, active lifestyle and her passion for helping individuals improve their well-being through preventative care, lifestyle changes, and integrative support. While this marks a shift in her career path, it is one that is deeply in line with her values and personal philosophy of care.

While we are saddened to see her go, we are also immensely grateful for the years she has spent serving our patients and our community. Her presence, warmth, and commitment to care have touched the lives of so many. She will be profoundly missed by her patients and colleagues alike.

If you are currently under Raylene’s care, please rest assured that our team will work closely with you to ensure a smooth and thoughtful transition to another provider within our practice. Continuity and quality of care remain our highest priorities.

Please join us in expressing our heartfelt gratitude to Raylene for her service and in wishing her all the very best as she begins this next chapter of her career.

Shelley is a woman of many talents - she’s our general contractor, interior designer, Maine Guide, and grill master. But most importantly, Shelley is the heart of our office; she’s the calm in our storm, the brains behind our clinical operations, our silver lining, and always our voice of reason.

Shelley is tenacious, warmhearted, sharp-witted, and unwaveringly loyal. She encompasses exactly what it takes to be a nurse.

To say we are lucky would be an understatement ❤️
