Happy New Year! We are happy to announce that we are once again offering musculoskeletal MRI services at our office. We have completed the installation and training on a state-of-the-art FUJI Aperto Lucent MRI machine. We can offer high quality diagnostic scans with extremely competitive pricing, especially considering it includes the read fee (typically a separate charge from other imaging centers). Our prices are competitive enough that you may decide to forgo the hoops and approval process health insurance companies put you through and pay out-of-pocket for your MRI, so you have answers quickly. We are pleased to announce that Dr. Jason Lang, M.D. has joined Down East Orthopedics! Dr. Lang is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in hip and knee replacement surgery. Dr. Lang is an experienced surgeon, with 9 years at the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Wake Forest University and 9 years at EmergeOrtho, Blue Ridge Division. He is currently accepting new patients and has great availability in his schedule. Bringing the latest in knee replacement surgery to Bangor, ME!

Here at Downeast Surgery Center we are excited to announce that we have begun to use the ROSA Robotic Knee Replacement System. The ROSA provides soft tissue feedback, accurate bone resections, and collects intra-operative metrics for the best outcome for each patient. This system was designed by surgeons for surgeons, delivering the most accurate measurements using 2D to 3D Technology.
