Our WIC locations are open during the federal government shutdown and you can use your WIC benefits. We continue to provide food benefits, nutrition education, breastfeeding support and referral services.

Family, friends and coworkers gathered last night when we presented diplomas to ten Medical Assistant Apprentices at their graduation ceremony at First Congregational Church in South Haven. InterCare Community Health Network is very proud of the class of 2025 as they begin their new healthcare careers. We want to thank again the instructors, preceptors and everyone who made this program possible. The apprenticeship program provides good jobs for people in our communities and helps to fill our workforce needs. Last night was graduation night for InterCare’s Medical Assistant Apprentice Class of 2025! These ten people are no longer apprentices and are on their way to a new career. Congratulations! Medical assistants help the medical provider by interviewing patients and documenting medical history, taking vital signs and other tasks. The apprenticeship program provides training for well-paid jobs with benefits and fills needed positions doing important work in our health centers. Want to join our team? InterCare Community Health Network has been selected to receive Three 2025 Community Health Quality Recognition (CHQR) awards from the Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA). The awards recognize InterCare as a health center quality leader, a national quality leader in heart health, and as an advanced user of health information technology. The recognition is based on clinical performance data reported in 2024. We were also awarded Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) recognition again this year. HRSA is part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and is the primary federal agency for improving access to health care services for people who are uninsured, isolated or medically vulnerable.
