Southern Maine Pediatric Therapies is locally owned by an Occupational Therapist. We have been providing services in Southern Maine for over 10 years. We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team in Windham. . As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping children and families achieve their goals and improve their overall well-being. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in occupational therapy, a passion for working with children and their families, and a commitment to delivering high-quality services. We believe in work/life balance therefore this is a contract position. Benefits of this position are flexible schedule, make your own hours (after school hours needed), pick the days you want to work with incentives with increased hours.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct initial evaluations
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
- Provide education and support to patients and their families
- Maintain daily progress notes and quarterly progress reports
-Attend meetings

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree or Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Strong knowledge of occupational therapy principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care and a positive experience for patients and families.

-Background checks with the DOE and DHHS

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour

ATTENTION OT STUDENTS: Gallant Therapy will be hosting a "decompression session" for occupational therapy students on Monday, April 28th in the OT lab. They will be there with swings, snacks, and fidgets to support you as you approach finals week. This is not a mandatory event, however this will be a great opportunity to network with local occupational therapists and ask any questions you may have about the field of OT, Gallant Therapy Services, and navigating finals week.

We’re so proud of our OT students who presented alongside Professor Fysh and one of our community partners at the Maine Department of Education Inclusive Education Conference in Augusta!

Their session, “Partnering for Student Success,” highlighted the MTSS program developed and implemented by Professor Fysh and the OT students, which runs weekly in a local kindergarten classroom. This initiative blends experiential learning with meaningful community engagement, allowing students to apply their clinical skills while supporting inclusive practices in real school settings.

Through this work, we’re leveraging higher education and hands-on training to prepare students for job readiness—while actively serving the local community and state.
