The Maine Association of Area Agencies on Aging (M4A) is collecting clean, gently used winter coats for seniors again this fall! Last year, statewide over 1600 coats were collected to help keep older Mainers warm! For each coat donated, Goodwill will provide free coat vouchers to Maine's AAAs to give to older adults in need. L.L.Bean donates $5 per coat (up to $5000) to M4a's low-income fuel assistance program that helps older adults access needed fuel after all other sources have been exhausted. EAAA is a collection site, please drop off your winter coats from October 15th - November 30th.

Winter will be here before you know it and we need your help preparing food kits for homebound older adults across Eastern Maine.

We're gearing up to assist homebound seniors with emergency meal kits for when those big Nor'easters hit! Our goal is 300 kits that will have 2 meals in each. We would like to keep the meals as healthy and low-sodium as possible, and would need small individual sizes of each of the items listed below:
Apple Sauce/Fruit Cup
Canned Soup
Crackers
Small boxes of Cereal
Pints of Shelf Stable/Powdered Milk
Packets of Rice
Ensure
Canned Vegetables
Raisins/Dried Fruits or Veggies
Granola Bars
Low-Sodium Canned Meat (Tuna, Chicken, Beef, etc)
Juice Boxes

Don't have the time to shop or swing by with food?
