Meet Kent Bond, PT, MS! ⚾💪🏼

Born and raised in The Dalles, OR, Kent knew early on that he wanted to be a physical therapist after experiencing firsthand the benefits of rehab as a young athlete. His background in baseball, farm work, and athletics instilled in him a strong work ethic, perseverance, and determination—qualities he now brings to his patients every day.

Kent graduated from Pacific University in 1988 with his M.S. in Physical Therapy and has since dedicated his career to helping people overcome pain, injury, and movement dysfunction. His biggest reward? Seeing his patients regain confidence and return to doing what they love!

Outside the clinic, you’ll find Kent:
⚾ Playing on three National Championship Men’s Adult Baseball Teams
🚴 Cycling & racing with Portland Velo Cycling Club
🐕 Upland Gamebird hunting with his Labrador Retriever, Fenway

Congratulations to the Banks Braves varsity baseball team from all of us here at Impact PT on wrapping up the regular season with an undefeated league record! The Braves haven’t lost a game in league play in 3 years! ⁣

The Braves top the Cowapa League with a 12-0 record (a 20-2 overall record), earning them the #1 seed in OSAA playoffs!!

First off, Happy 100th Birthday to the American Physical Therapy Association.🎉
We also recognize that October is National Physical Therapy Month!🤗
Read this month’s blog to learn about how physical therapy became what it is today.
We also talk about headaches and vestibular issues. When you think of physical therapy, you might think of a place where you go after a major knee or shoulder surgery. That is correct, however, we can do so much more!
We can help our patients that are dealing with vestibular issues like dizziness and vertigo.
Headaches? We can help with certain types of headaches such as tension-type headache and neck-related headaches.

Impact Physical Therapy of Hillsboro and Banks is a growing privately owned outpatient physical therapy clinic. Our staff focuses on providing an atmosphere that is safe, friendly, dynamic, and enjoyable. We consider it to be a privilege to provide physical therapy to our local community. Our goal is to get our patients "back in the game", whether it is work, family, sports, or leisure activities.

We are looking to add a Physical Therapy Aide to work at our Hillsboro location.

Duties and responsibilities:

Take patients through individualized exercise programs under the direct supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist, assisting with modalities and general housekeeping.
General housekeeping duties include, but are not limited to: laundry, dusting equipment, sanitizing equipment and therapy beds.
Assist administration with tasks such as answering phones, scheduling patients, collecting co-pays/deductibles and filing/faxing.
Interacts courteously and effectively with patients, families, clinic staff, and all other customers.
Performs treatment-related tasks (such as ice or heat application) as appropriate and allowed by state law, under the supervision of the PT.
Maintains confidentiality of all patient demographic, medical, company, and other information. Ensures proper handling, retention, and confidential documents and adheres to all HIPAA rules and regulations.
Supports special work projects and other designated activities as assigned in support of our mission and core values.
Minimum Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent
Bachelor's degree in exercises science, human physiology, biology, or general sciences preferred.
Physical Therapy/Medical office experience preferred.
Basic proficiency with MS Office.
Prior experience with an EMR system is preferred.
Current CPR certification preferred.
