How many times have you driven by the ranch and never stopped to visit? Now’s the perfect time to join us for free and discover this local treasure alongside fellow community members.

Over the past several months, more than 100 community members have participated in our hike days, many discovering the ranch and its scenic trails for the very first time. This guided hike offers a moderate outdoor experience with elevated terrain and natural dirt and gravel paths, perfect for those looking to stay active while enjoying fresh air and great company.

Participants will learn about native plants, local history, and upcoming wayfinding signage that will make the trails even more accessible for visitors. Whether you're joining us for the first time or returning for another adventure, we welcome you to be part of this growing community movement.

Blue Zones Project Banning is covering the cost of admission for this special event, which typically includes entry to the ranch, the Wagon Museum, and the historic Gilman House. Come experience the trails, learn something new, and connect with your neighbors while taking a simple step toward living longer, better.

Arbor Day Success in Banning!

What a great day of teamwork and community spirit! In collaboration with Parks and Recreation Department, the City of Banning Water Department, Rotary Club of Banning, and Blue Zones Project Banning, we proudly planted 10 new trees to help grow a greener, healthier future for our community.

With the support of dedicated volunteers and community members, this event was filled with energy, smiles, and a shared commitment to making Banning an even better place to live. We were also honored to have City Manager Elizabeth Gibbs and Council Member Leroy Miller join us for this special occasion.

Thank you to everyone who rolled up their sleeves and made a difference. Together, we’re planting the seeds for a healthier community, one tree at a time!

Healthy Choices, Stronger Community!

On March 26, 2026, Carol’s Kitchen proudly adopted the Healthy Food Guidelines for Blue Zones Project Banning during a special celebration at their food distribution center in Banning.

Guests enjoyed a delicious hot meal featuring a Blue Zones recipe, Black Bean Tacos, and left with a fresh take-home produce bag from the Carol’s Kitchen pantry. The day was filled with connection, gratitude, and a shared commitment to supporting healthier lifestyles in our community.

We are incredibly proud to partner with this amazing food pantry that continues to show up for Banning and the surrounding area families. Through our collaboration with Carol’s Kitchen and Blue Zones Project Banning, we are working together to make the healthy choice the easy choice for everyone through policy changes.
